Open Days with Inspectors continue in 2020

On another Open Days with inspectors, held on 28 January in Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, around a hundred companies and entrepreneurs gathered to talk „one on one“, in an informal setting, with representatives of Tax, Market, Sanitary, Agricultural, Tourism and Labor inspections about issues important for their business.

Since the first such gathering, held also in Belgrade in March 2019, more than five hundred business people in seven Serbian cities had the opportunity to talk with inspectors and get concrete advice, explanations and recommendations for better compliance.

In her introductory speech, Dragana Stanojevic, USAID Cooperation for Growth Project’s Deputy Chief of Party, highlighted that the Project supports the inspections reforms from the start and backs its efforts to shift focus from reactive and repressive mode of inspections’ work to a more proactive approach and prevention. Stanojevic expressed hope and belief that this year, Open Days model will be used even more – that all districts will follow the example of some of the regional chambers, which already organize these gatherings independently.

Open Days with Inspectors are organized by the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, together with USAID Cooperation for Growth Project and the EU Improvement of the Business Environment Project.
